MALOA Skincare

MALOA means today was a good day

we make a small, intentional line of gentle products for developing skin, and have a strong point of view about everything that comes with them.

hi! I'm Lauren

I'm a mom of two, based in Los Angeles, and have spent nearly two decades working in health, wellness, and natural skincare.

From the inside, I watched the industry sell adult products to younger and younger kids, using the same marketing playbook.

And I started to worry about how this industry would impact my own daughter.

So I decided to build something I actually felt good about, skincare and messaging that's made for where kids actually are, not where the industry wants them to be.

four principles we stand by

01.

people first, always

Young skin is resilient, but it’s also thinner, more reactive, and still maturing. So are the people behind the skin. They need support, balance and protection, in the form of ingredients and messaging. We do everything specifically for younger, sensitive, and first-time skincare users by respecting the whole person, not just their skin.

02.

built with intention

Skincare trends move fast. Ingredients go viral overnight. But viral doesn’t mean necessary, and it certainly doesn’t mean appropriate for kids. At MALOA, we don’t formulate for hype. If an ingredient is too harsh, unnecessary, or marketing-driven, we leave it out. Even if it’s popular. Restraint is intentional.

03.

clean, safe and balanced

Clean means safe, gentle, and well-researched. We use both naturally derived ingredients and safe synthetics when appropriate. Because “natural” isn’t automatically safer, especially for young, sensitive skin. Our loyalty isn’t to natural or synthetic. It’s to safe skin health.

04.

fresh air matters

We believe the best days are lived outside. MALOA encourages curiosity, movement, and play. We embrace dirt, sweat, sunshine, and the freedom that comes with real life experiences. Because fresh air, sunshine and laughter are just as good for your skin as the skincare you put on it.

you've got enough to worry about. skincare shouldn't be one of them.

MALOA means today was a good day

It's a word we created to hold a feeling. The one you get after a day outside, spent with people you love.

That's what we're building toward. The belief that healthy skin starts with how you live not how you look.
